The Swans came out absolutely pumped in the first term on a windy day in Ballina's Fripp Oval. The Bombers had heaps to play for on Sammy Kennedy's 200th game for the club but so did the Swans as both sides wanted to firm a top 4 finals spot.
Lismore came out of the blocks early kicking 4 first quarter goals however missed several opportunities they should of nailed which could have totally opened the game up early with 8 shots at goal in the first term. Swans took a 14 point lead into the first break.
The strong breeze picked up in the second term to Ballina's advantage and they used it well as the Swans struggled to move the ball in the forward line due to the force of the wind. A big injury blow to Jake Ryan was a big blow to the Swans as they were down to two men on the bench. Ballina taking a 7 point lead into the main break.
The Swans needed to capitalise with the breeze in the third and missing a couple of easy opportunities deep up forward hurt the Swans as Ballina stood there ground to take a 6 point lead into the final quarter.
The Swans had several opportunities early in the final term as they had the ball deep in the forward line for large amounts of time kicking points under pressure before the Bombers nailed a few goals to hurt the Swans where it counts. Final score Ballina 12.12-84 Lismore 9.13-67.

Swans are in a do or die match next weekend against Byron at Bangalow in the final round of the season.
