As you are one of around 800
girls playing junior football across Victoria, AFL Victoria would like to
invite you to an ‘Information Night For Girls in Football’, at
7pm at the MCG on Tuesday August 31.
You may be aware that girls and
boys can only play alongside each other until the age of 14. After this age,
boys and girls must play in single sex competitions.
The purpose of the evening is to
provide you and your family with information about the many opportunities
available to you in football after you turn fourteen, including representative
football. We will also discuss the AFL’s plan for a national women’s football
competition.
Representatives from AFL Victoria
will be available on the night to answer your questions, and guest speakers
will be able to share their experiences in being involved in AFL Victoria’s
Youth Girls program.
