The Tweed Coast Tigers have had a great week on the training paddock and with
the return from injury of several of their key players are ready to take on the
improving Blues this Sunday at Home.
The pressure is ramping up in the Summerland League with only 4 rounds left
until the finals and whilst the Tigers are guaranteed the Minor Premiership,
the rest of the Clubs are jostling hard for the other 3 finals positions, with plenty
of mud being slung. Every result will be critical and one bad outcome could see
one of the major contenders at the start of the year miss out on the finals.
Whilst this is going on the Tigers are focusing one game at a time as they
press towards September. Last week’s classic come from behind victory to beat Ballina
has shown two things, one the Tigers are not going to have it all their own way
this season and two the squad has depth and a never say die attitude. Combine
this with a bunch of talented players and you have a recipe Master Chef would be envious of.
This weekend will be another test for the Tigers with the Blues winning
their last couple of games, however the Tigers have thumped Cooly at Kirra twice
this season and unless the Blues appear with a bunch of new players, are going
to be in for a torrid time at Round Mountain on Sunday.
Bounce is at 2pm, Round Mountain.
Get down and cheer on the Tigers.
Go Tigers!
