The Tweed Coast Tigers are now in the home stretch of the season and will need to be on their game when they take on the Ballina Bombers this Saturday at Tigerland Pottsville.
Whilst the Tigers are nearly assured of a finals spot it seems the pressure on the next 4 teams to make the finals is starting to show. Ballina are the improving side in the comp but fell short of beating Coolangatta last week by 3 points and will be desperate to get over the Tigers to get the points.
Byron and Coolangatta are still in the mix whilst it appears Lismore could slide straight out the backdoor this season based on their current form, with a 4th straight loss to the Blues this Saturday.
Check out this amusing little article in the Northern Star (Click Here) this week, it appears facts aren't too important when there's some good excuse mongering to be done. According to the Northern Star, Barry Round (1981 Brownlow Medalist) is making a come back and the Tweed Tigers are going to be the new franchise in the AFL soon with our stacked team sheet. Classic!
Tigers v Ballina this Saturday, the game starts at 2pm at Tigerland Pottsville and all the fantastic Tigers supporters are encouraged to get down and cheer the Tiger's towards the finals.
Go Tigers!
