On a beautiful Saturday afternoon for football the Tweed
Coast Tigers have stretched their winning streak to 12 games straight after
taming an improving Nimbin side at Tigerland Pottsville.
In front of another quality home crowd the Tigers who were
missing at least 10 of their starting line up had too much run and skill for
the Nimbin side who tried hard all day and who’s numbers were boosted by the inclusion
of a couple of Pottsville locals in Taity, his brothers and mates.
With the Tigers running rampant this season the Tigers leading
goal kicking table is hotting up and without Roundy, Jacob and Arnie playing it
was up to the Boltman to take advantage of the service from the middle to kick
12 goals for the day. This is a new record for the Tigers and takes Bolty to
the top of the goal scoring table.
There were some good performances across the park for the
Tigers with Muzza rucking well and kicking 3 goals, Tbone contributed well
after a few weeks in Bali and the grey fox Arty led by example as he captained
the side for the first time and managed 3 goal for his efforts.
As we head into the business end of the season with only 5
rounds remaining the Tigers will be looking for the return of their star
players when they take on Ballina at Tigerland Pottsville this Saturday.
It was another great day down at Tigerland, with a big
thanks to the Tigers support staff, volunteers and the fantastic Tweed Coast
locals who turn up in good numbers each week to cheer home the Tigers.
