The Under 17’s were unable to match the Huntly team, but you could not fault their endeavour. They played some good passages of play but were unable to get the score on the board. Today is a vital game for the boys and the club is sure they will bounce back with a win. Best Players: M. Begg, C. Jones, M. Kent, R. Hall, J. Collinson, J. Reddish
The 2’s had another good win, in what is always a tough game when we meet the Huntly boys. The 1st quarter was very tight with neither side getting any run and unable to find the spaces, but from there one it was one way traffic, with the boys using the big ground to their advantage and bringing it into the forward line quickly and finding some good targets. The team is playing some really good football at the moment and today’s game is one we really need to win to cement our place in the five. Best Players: Luke (really showed some form coming of Half back). Ryan Butters (took control of his wing), Bowlesy (dominated the fwd line with a 9 goal haul), Brayden. Wallis (4 goals), A. Rosos (4 goals), & D. Tuddenham (hard worker around the packs)
The Seniors also continued their good form with another good opening quarter and from there, never looked back. Like the previous game, they played a consistent 4 quarters and finished off with a 6 goal last quarter. This has now got them into the five on percentage and the boys will certainly be revved up to win today and hold their spot. The backline continues to impress holding Huntly to one goal per quarter. Best Players: Dave (only knows one way to play – hard at it) Matty (another solid game). Jake (continues to set up many moves) Eddie (another good game off the Back Flank), Ash (finding some good touch after some minor injuries) & Tim (doing some tough work around the ground)
