A GRADE
A grade started with strong defence from all over the court against Huntly to allow them to get off to a good start. With the defence end working and talking well they were able to turn over many balls and allow the goalers to put the score on the board. With having a comfortable lead heading into the final 1/4 Hillies were able to relax and enjoy the final term.

A RESERVE
The Hillies took off to a flying start in the first quarter, with the goalers capitalizing on every opportunity. 2nd quarter the defence end demonstrated excellent skills taking a number of intercepts. 3rd quarter saw a number of changes in the team which showed the versatility of the Ares Hillies. 4th quarter motivation was high and we finished off the game with a strong win.

B GRADE
We always knew that this was going to be a test for us, coming against Huntly sitting 2nd on the ladder. A good start was needed and that we did, Excellent defensive pressure from Cherie, Mel and Lauzy who applied pressure at every possible opportunity & getting hands to many balls in which Shanny, Em and Tess were able to convert. Carz, Susie Wong and Rindy continued to work hard all game, all working well together at both ends. A great team effort girls, and its good to see our good form slowly coming back at the right time of the season. Let’s continue to work hard for the full 4 quarters. Good team effort girls.

C GRADE
Last week saw another tough game for our c graders, this time against the top team. Playing what could be seen as their best game for the year, the Hillies matched their opponents for most of the game, with just a couple of errors allowing the hawks to establish a lead. Great effort girls.

D GRADE
The girls faced another tough game against 2nd on ladder Huntly. Our first quarter saw us girls come out firing right from the first whistle and have a good lead. An unsettled 2nd and 3rd quarter saw Huntly come back right into the game. To the girls credit they kept working hard for the full 4 quarters & we able to come away with a convincing 1 goal victory. Its great to see such great improvement since the start of the season, we all know that we’re capable of matching it with the best - Awesome team effort!

PRIMARY D
With an early start, it was nice to see all the girls up and going. We played with a mixed team which gave the game a relaxed atmosphere. It was nice to have Dylin back, after a few weeks away, and she did a great job in centre, picking up many loose balls. Emma had a good week too. Leading forward, and passing strongly.
Found: A pair of kids navy blue Adidas trakky pants were left in our area after Saturday. See Sue if they are yours.
