The Swans struggled to contain the attacking Tweed Coast Tigers as the home team skipped away to very comfortable win. The Swans had plenty of ball around the ground however broke down when entering the forward line as the Tigers backline stood strong and rebounded the football in numbers. On the other hand the Tigers were very damaging when moving the ball upforward not missing many opportunities.
The game got even worse when key forward Wesley Seewald went down with a shoulder injury in the final quarter of his 50th game.
Final scores Tweed 25.13-163 to Lismore 13.7-85.
Best for the Swans were Rhys Lavery, Eddie Burton, Jason Bevan, Phil Tsourlinis, George Massa, and Simon Howard.
Goal kickers were George Massa with 3, 2 each to Eddie Burton, Darren Moncrieff and Jak Johnson, while singles were kicked by Roly Barrett, Daniel Moloney, Matt Meadows, Wesley Seewald
The Tigers have put the challenge on to all the teams in the Summerland league and if any team is to be a contender for the flag then they must knock off the Tweed Coast Tigers.
Next week the Swans host Byron in a crucial match for the Swans to retain a top two spot.
