Pat Lawlor has agreed to have his
chest waxed in order to raise money for the Cancer Council Awareness Round. The
aim is to raise funds to assist with mens cancer research. Your
pledges of support will be gratefully accepted at the club either on Thursday
and Saturday (tins will be available) or speak to Kinga.
Pats Wax off will
take place at the club at 8pm.
'Compared to women, Australian men are more
likely to be diagnosed with cancer and less likely to survivetheir
diagnosis'. It is vital that we all rally behind the Call To Arms fundraising campaign to
help raise awareness and support this important cause. This is an
opportunity for everyone to get involved in the campaign through
their local football club by attending matches, donating to fundraising
events or by wearing a yellow armband during the leagues designated
weekend of July 31st. Money raised through the Call To Arms
campaign will help support men in need by contributing funds to the Cancer
Council's important cancer research, prevention and support programs.
