David commenced playing at the White Hills Football Netball Club in 1990 in the under 17’s, after playing 4 years of junior football with the White Hills Junior Football Club. In 1992 under the coaching of Rick Hartley, David commenced his senior playing career. All of his senior football, other than when he went to Eaglehawk for a season and a half has been with the White Hills Demons. In 1997 David was Runner-up in the Club’s Senior Best & Fairest Award and awarded Club Life Membership in 2004. He was recognised for his leadership, being appointed senior captain in 2003 which he regards as his greatest honour. In 2007, David was inducted into the HDFL 200 Senior Games Club and awarded HDFL Life Membership.
Playing for White Hills has been special to the White Hills Demon, with his father Alan playing football with the club and David having the opportunity to play with both his brothers - Mark (twin) & Brad.
In his time at the club David has also regularly taken on off field roles – holding both U17 & Reserves coaching positions and club committee member.
David has been one of the most loyal players in the White Hills club history. His quick wit and love for having a beer has seen him develop great friendships not only within the club but also within the league.
Congratulations David on your milestone and club loyalty – we hope you have a great game today and continue your career for a few more years to come! We know you will be proud to run out with your little man Cooper today!
