The Summerland League Rep Team took on Darling Downs at Fripp Oval, Ballina on Saturday and the Tigers were well represented by Wilson, Arnie and Johnno.
All 3 Tigers players had major contirbutions to a great win by the Summerland League team. Wilson played ruck for nearly the entire game which is testament to his improving fitness and playing under the guidance of one of the AFL's most successful ruckmen Shaun Rehn will prove invaluble to the young fella's long term development. Lets not forget Wilson has played a grand total of 7 games of AFL footy. Oustanding effort.
Arnie and Johnno are consistently 2 of the Tigers best onballers and this continued for the Summerland Team. Both players won the hard ball and provided great service to the forwards. At the start of the 3rd term a sight not often seen, Arnie caught holding the ball! Well this just seemed to stir up the super talented Tiger and he proceded to be directly invovled in the next 4 straight Summerland goals, including kicking a couple himself. This surge basic stitched up a great Summerland league win.
The Rep team showed a good spread of talented players from all teams, and the lads did themselves and the Summerland League proud.
This weekend will see Rd 7 wiht the Tigers away v Lismore. This should be a great top of the table clash.
Go the Tigers!
