On a cool but sunny autumn day at Weyba Road it was third placed Noosa on 5 wins against sixth placed Wilston Grange on 4 wins. The first 10 minutes saw the ball zipping up and down and to be fair it was the Gorillas with good footwork to big full forward Daniel Collins that looked the better team, but only 3 points resulted from their effort and when the Tigers fired up the jets they took the opening quarter 4.6 to 0.4.
Brett Duke was leading confidently, Luke Brauer and Cubby Isles were digging it out of the packs and Brendan Page was on top in the ruck contests.
The second stanza was the only one in which Noosa was outscored (3.3 to 3.2) but in a highly skilled encounter one still felt that our Tigers were on top.
In the Third it was all one way traffic as Lucas Matthews joined his mates in the midfield dominance, and Mick Gafa and Adam Eady provided even more options up forward. In the back half it was Tom McKittrick, Jason Boydle, Chris Burke and Todd Panaoho who were in great rebounding touch and its been great to see these boys along with Bova and others develp into a solid back six.
Great to see the boys finish the job with 11 shots to 5 in the last quarter to extend their lead and head towards the next two tough road encounters with plenty of confidence.

In the Reserves our boys produced a solid opening but with 2.3 to 1.0 at quarter time the boys could have blown a chance for early dominance. It wasnt to be as Dane Gale's return to footy produced many leads and goal conversions, as did Will Troedel in the key forward post whilst Billy Daugalis gave first use and Roo Stewart, Ben Young and co. won heaps of midfield ball.
A 6.4 to 3.3 (19 point) half time lead was extended to a whopping 59 point break at 3/4 time as Maxy Paterson joined Dane in the goal kicking spree and Danny Obrien, Brent Dornauf & Alex Swenson continued to rebound and set up plays with style - a great 1/4 to watch.
The last quarter petered out a bit as the Gorillas kicked a few late ones but the 54 point win was most impressive and now these boys have to produce it regularly and on the road
Noosa 2.3 6.4 12.9 14.11 (95)
W.Grange 1.0 3.3 3.4 6.5 (41)
Multiple Goal Kickers: Dane Gale 5, Maxy Paterson 3 and Andrew Stewart 2
