With The Seniors having the bye last
week Panton Hill reserves travelled over to South Morang and the Redbacks led all
day in a close match, with Adam Anderson and Paul Strongman in everything for
the Hills. Other contributions across
the ground were quite positive and even, with the side putting together their
best effort of the season right up until the final quarter. Unfortunately the good work was undone in the
final stanza. With the Redbacks 3 goals
up mid-way through the quarter, and controlling the momentum, some
undisciplined team play saw the Lions gifted a couple of goals. With that South Morang
took the momentum and ground out an unlikely 17-point win. But fear NOT has luck would have it we again
face the Lions this week and the players will be looking to put that
performance behind them, and pay back the supporters and coaching staff with a
four-quarter competitive and well-disciplined effort.
