On a blustery day at Weyba Road our Tigers produced an emphatic four quarter effort over a younger yet developing Surfers Paradise side.
With a couple of late changes there was some tension at Weyba Road before kick off but that was soon eased as our boys wacked on 6.8 to 0.2 in the first quarter to set a trend that lasted 120 minutes.
With Jimmy Brain again providing smarts and finishing skills, Tim Storrer (one of the late changes coming in from the Ressies) with his leading and telescopic arms a good target, and our back half on fire with Chris Burke making CHB his own, Jason Boydle the same on the last line and skipper Bova bobbing up everywhere, it was a commanding opening where only inaccuracy gave the visiting Demions any hope.
Cubby Isles, Lucas Matthews, Luke Brauer and Brendan Page continued the onslaught in the more even second quarter, whilst Tom McKitick continued his form on the last line and Nathan Winter followed on last weeks good form with great work in defence.
Tigers by 55 at half time and it was just a matter of maintaining momentum for Noosa in the second half.
And continue on they did, as seasoned performers like Gary Wallace and Adam Eady also chipped in to the dominant midfield and by 3/4 time it was a 75 point lead and only momentary lapses of concentration marred the effort.
Final quarter highlights (without forgetting Cubby's left foot snap from 55 metres out earlier in the game) included Jimmy kicking his 7th, Tim Storrer kicking his 6th, Jake Hawkesworth kicking his 1st Senior Goal, Springy having the ball on a string, and the final 103 point margin.
A week off next week and then Wilston Grange at home.

Before the match both our Tigers Ressies and Surfers sat at 3 wins/3 losses and the absorbing 4 quarter arm wrestle that ensued was a fitting tribute to their equality.
Our Tigers were troubled early by Surfer's big men but with Mark Pencil Henshell in great touch early and Ben Young & Josh Reichman winning it out of the middle our boys were in touch at the first break trailing 2.5 to 3.1.
With Alex Swenson, Chayse Tilley and Brent Dornauf providing stearn resistance in the second it was a real battle of the defences as neither team kicked a goal and all were looking to the second half as the visitors led by 4 points
Four goals to three in the third saw the gates open up and with Nick Hoekstra, Mick Forden, Dummo and Maxy & Pat Paterson all in good form our boys nosed in front
So it was down the home straight for the last and it was our Noosa boys who extended their 4 points lead to a 15 point victory kicking 2.2 to 0.3 in the last quarter
I cant remember ever hearing the club song ever sung so loud!
Noosa 2.5 2.7 6.9 8.11 (59)
Surfers 3.1 3.5 6.5 6.8 (44)
