Newtown & Chilwell has refurbished clubrooms and new gym equipment to work with for the rest of the GFL season.
The club officially launched its $650,000 Elderslie Reserve upgrade last night, funded by the City of Greater Geelong.
The makeover included renovations to the club's social rooms, change rooms, which now include toilet and shower facilities, and kitchen. The ground also has a new irrigation system.
Kildare Ward Cr Stretch Kontelj said the refurbishment would act as benchmark for future clubroom developments.
"The facility will also offer a fully equipped gymnasium, which includes equipment donated by the Geelong Football Club as a token of appreciation to Newtown & Chilwell for allowing it to use the ground and facilities for pre-season training while Skilled Stadium's oval was redeveloped over the summer," he said.
