Our Tigers were jumped from the outset by a pumped Maroochydore in the local derby and really only won the second quarter where our Tigers looked like we had wrested the initiative back from the home side.
But as it was not to be as the Roos rattled on 3.3 to 0.1 in the third to effectively seal the match.
To give credit where its due, the home side kicked 3.9 to 1.1. in a dominant first quarter which could have been worse for our boys.
Jimmy Brain, Jay Reynolds and Todd Panoho stood tall for our Tigers and Cubby Isles was again a trojan with relentless gut running whilst Pagey on return put in a big effort all day in the ruck. Our back half battled manfully all day and well it wasnt really a day for the forwards.
A tough day at the office for our boys and yet you could be proud of the courage and banging into the contests that our boys did all day.
Good sides bounce back from performances like today and I'm sure Fletch will be working hard with the boys and selectors this week to turn it around as soon as possible

In the early match it was a much more absorbing affair as our Tigers Reserves slugged it away against the undefeated Roos for 4 quarters before falling 10 points short 5.8 to 4.4
In atrocious conditions our boys bounced out and established a lead that they held for the first half.
With Ben Evans and Brendan Clohesy winning heaps of ball in the middle Chayse, Burkey and Jason Boydle holding sway and rebounding out of defence it was a classic arm wrestle between two even teams.
Leading 3.2 to 2.3 at half time (yes it was that wet & heavy) the Roos came back in the third yet were often repelled by Justin Claney, Stuey Burns and Alex Swenson, and the 2 point lead to the home side set it up for a big last quarter.
In the end it wasnt to be for our boys yet they certainly held their heads high and gave game time to Roo Stewart, Mark Henshell and Drew Gibbs who will have more impact in the weeks to come.
Special farewell to BE, Clossy and Red Dog for their OS trip
