The Swans have absolutely destroyed Byron Bay in the grand rematch embarressing the Magpies by the biggest losing margin in years at Lismore's Mortimor Oval on Saturday. The Swans were impressive from word go piling on 5 unanswered goals in the first 10 minutes of the game to stun the Byron crowd. The Magpies kicked a goal but they could not stop the amazing run and determination of the Swans. The Swans were simply outstanding in the first term breaking the game open early as they kicked 9 goals to 2 for the term.
The Magpies were much more competitive in the second term however the Swans continued to run the ball winning the quarter 4 goals to 2. In the third the Magpies tried to drop players back however the Swans were around it to kick another 6 goals while keeping the Magpies scoreless.
The Swans finished the game with another rush of goals and to the boys credit, only allowing Byron to kick 1 behind from the 15 minute of the second quarter until the final siren sounded.
Swans kicked 22.14-146 to the Magpies 4.5-29.
Best for the Swans were Eddie Burton, Shaun Wadwell, Morgan Hindry, Alex Aitken, Angus Legoe and Wesley Seewald
Goal kickers Wesley Seewald 5, David Woon 3, 2 each to Dean Webb, Darren Moncrief, Mitch Montgomery, and Ethan Lenson, while singles went to Shaun Wadwell, Angus Legoe, Will Alexander, Jake Ryan, Josh Mapstone, and Matt Meadows.
