Senior Grade returned to the winners' list with an
emphatic 61 point win against the Nor-West Jets at Greygums Oval yesterday.
After an opening half of
untidy football (due to the windy conditions), the Rams
turned the game on its head with an eight goal third quarter.
The Jets had the aid of the wind in the final term but the Rams were able to match their opponents' four goals, running out comfortable 10 goal winners.
Final scores were: Penrith 17.11 (113) d Nor-West Jets 7.10 (52).
Reserve Grade, after being very competitive for the first half, were no match for their opponents thereafter.
The
determination of the side was present all day, but despite this the Jets ran away with the game in the second half.
Final scores were: Nor-West Jets 16.23 (119) d Penrith 1.2 (8)
