Now 24, it seems a long time ago that Tim Storrer first had a kick at Noosa along with Gary Wallace, Zac Smith and others in the Under 12's - half a lifetime in fact!
Tim followed his way through the junior ranks through under 14's, 16's & 18's and such is his relaxed manner that he can recall finishing Runner Up in a Best & Fairest and winning a Flag but can't remember in what Grade/Year either occurred.
Perhaps its the side effects of years of heartache being a Saints supporter that has dulled his memory!
With schooling behind him, in 2004 he headed to Brisvegas to the University of Queensland to obtain a degree in Construction Management which he duly managed whilst play footy for Uni Q in the State Association.
In 2009 Tim and good mate Mark Henshell donned the travel gear as all young blokes do, and headed OS to "just about everywhere" which included Canada, Mexico, USA, Europe and all bits in between.
Sadly, all good things must end and it was time to put that education to work whereupon Tim landed a great job working for Cooroy Ricon where he is managing the construction of a prison up in the Kimberlies in Western Australia, with trips up there every month or so to monitor progress.
Luckily for us it saw Tim come back to us at Noosa and whilst the club rooms are different, he felt well at home with some familiar faces around the place. It must have been a comfortable return as he has fitted back in like he never left, whilst also gaining a seniors berth and playing an important role up forward and on ball for our side.
Tim still sees time for footy with his busy work life, and also getting a line wet in pursuit of fishing and lowering his handicap on the golf course, so busy times!
A likeable young man who is part of both our history and our future - we wish you well for 2010 Tim and hope you are here for many years to come
