Over Easter, the North Shore U18’s have recently completed a very successful and enjoyable Camp.
25 of the current list and coaching staff participated in a range of sporting and intellectual challenges which proved to be a great way to start the year and to bond the playing group together.
Held over two days at the Land’s Edge facility down at Chowder Bay, the boys trained enthusiastically, swam, played beach cricket, touch football and generally spent quality time together.
That afternoon the team watched the replay of the Pennant Hills game from the previous weekend which allowed us to see areas of improvement for the upcoming round 1 clash.
The evening of Personal Trivia was real highlight and despite some dubious facts about the individuals, the night was as funny as it gets. The competitive flair was also on show the next morning as team leader Michael Trent organised a group challenge Easter egg hunt throughout the accommodation.
We were also lucky enough to have some of the Senior playing group train on the first day and then participate in our team goal and rules session on Day two. The goal and rules session was very constructive as the group lay down the team objectives for the season ahead before being introduced to the hot seat which will become part of our review throughout the season.
It was promising to see the youngest leaders of the team Razza and Rory lead their group to victory after the final points were tallied.
The camp proved to be a great way to celebrate the end of a long summer of pre season training and helped to prepare us for the start of the in season competition.
