It's a fine day and warm conditions at Blacktown No 2 oval, with the Bombers Under 18s commencing their season against UNSW-ES.
The Bulldogs put up stern resistance, but the Bombers took the lead late in the first term and at half time led by 8 points.
But after the break the Bombers dominated proceedings. Peppering the goals but inaccurate early in the term, the floodgates opened and the Bombers extended the lead to 27 points at the last change. And it was one-way traffic in the last quarter as our youngsters showed off their skills with eight unanswered goals to take out a 75 point victory.

Our First Division side got off to a flying start, kicking the first five goals to lead by 33 points at quarter time. Continuing their impressive form they continued to play strongly in the second half to restrict the Bulldogs to just one goal for the half and at the long break led by 42 points.
The third quarter was more evenly contested, but with 3 goals to 2 the Bombers won the quarter and led by 47 points at the last change. And the last quarter was again a good quarter for the Bombers, with 3 goals to 1 taking them to a 65 point victory.
Final score - North Shore 14.15 (99) d UNSW-ES 4.10 (34).
Our Premier Division side suffered a blow early when Mark Powell injured himself taking a spectacular mark and was forced to depart with a hand injury. The Bombers had some work to do, trailing by 10 points at quarter time; but lifted in the second term. Spearheaded by a 3-goal haul from captain Ron Wason, the Bombers took the lead in time-on to lead by 2 points at half time.
It was goal for goal early in the third, but the momentum swung North Shore's way in the latter stages of the quarter. With the Bombers scoring 5 for the quarter, they lead by 25 points at the last change. And it was all one-way traffic as the Bombers ran away in the last quarter.
