Round 1 - Game Day Information

The Venue

It’s a home fixture for North Shore Bombers. All games will be at our home ground at Gore Hill Oval.

The BBQ and canteen will be operating throughout the day. For breakfast and lunch, hot food will be available, while snacks and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be on sale. All proceeds go to the club.

Match Times

10:00am – Under 18s Trial v East Coast Eagles

12:00pm – First Division v Wollongong

2:10pm – Premier Division v Wollongong

Our Opponents

Our Premier Division and First Division teams will be taking on Wollongong Lions.

The Lions are going into their 6^th season in Premier Division; and although they have never made the finals are not a side to be taken lightly. Late last year they made a dramatic improvement in their playing lists, culminating in a win over eventual premiers East Coast in the final round; and they will be keen to continue their momentum into 2010. Their Under 18s made a charge through the finals to finish one game short of the grand final.

The Under 18s Premier Cup match v Wollongong has been postponed until later in the season. Our under 18s will be playing a trial against East Coast Eagles, who have the bye in round 1.

After the Game

After the Premier Division match, a short presentation will be held in the clubhouse, where the best on ground for all three grades will be named.

For anyone wishing to attend the Swans v Richmond game on Saturday night, the after-match function should be finished well before 5:30, so you’ll have plenty of time to get to the SCG.

Online Coverage

Scores from all our games will be posted on this website ASAP after the game; with match reports to follow. Detailed scores will also be available on the Sydney AFL website.
