In all 25 players decended on the town determined to have some fun and prepare themselves as a cohesive unit for an assault on the OAFL Premiership.
The Friday night saw the roo boys hit Collingwood guns blazing. Some quiet beers at the decked out condo soon turned into a cracking night at a local village bar Rustys. Needless to say there were some sore bodies the next day.
The Saturday saw some of the guys hit the slopes, some more wobbly than others. A little bit of Dutch courage kept the die hard riders going for a couple of hours then it was back to the condo. On arrival they were met by there new coach and some new recruits. Beers started flowing and after a little rough housing and some dancing on a cube van by Brido it was lunch time.
Possibly one of the funniest lunches ever had by the roo men. It was nothing short of hilarious. Everything from random hair sniffing, an icy dip in the lake to Brido being king of the rental shed roof. Hat taken off to Brido and junior who took the icy plunge. Dinner that night was at K2 where all the boys had finally showed up and the drinks were flowing. A great menu was capped off with drinks back at the condo then back to K2 to party it up. Lessons were to be learned that you don't eat another mans burger and you do not pass out in a parking lot. It was a great weekend had by all, good team bonding. Now the roos are ready to tackle the 2010 season not only as a team but a great bunch of mates.
