Whilst we might be wondering how tall the ruckmen are in Echuca based on our only two "exhibits" in Rabbit and now Tommy "Bull Neck" McKittrick, we can have no doubt about the skill and "good blokeness" (is that a word?) of this small Victorian township!
And Tom must be thinking his mate Rabbit is a pretty good bloke as he has guided him to be sharing a house with two of his partners friends in an elite part of Noosa. Tommy swears that he does his fair share of cooking and even loves to dabble over the stove after a hard days work.
From a football point of view, Tom played all his junior footy with Echuca coming up from the under 12's and whilst a Premiership eluded him, he did score berths in inter league games before breaking into Senior ranks in 2003.
80-90 games for Echuca have followed (with a brief 1/2 season for Swan Hill) and whilst he played in a few finals matches he is still yet to hang a September Medallion around his (bull) neck, although he did take home the 2009 MVP at the club.
Away from footy, Tom has enjoyed a bit of wake boarding but it is the weather and lifestyle that see him slipping on the Noosa jumper in 2010.
The club welcomes Tom to Tigerland and wishes him well - any mate of Rabbit's has to be OK and if he can cook as well ....
