The Swans approach the commencement of the Summerland AFL season in style winning the Nimbin tournament. Nimbin hosted the event in an attempt to stimulate interest in the game and boost player numbers for the Demons. The day was a success for the event and for the game it self with all matches played in good spirit.
Most teams struggled for numbers with the Swans able to lend a hand as a good guesture to all sides especially Nimbin for the day. The Swans fielded a full team which included many new players. All in all a very successful day for the club not only winning the tournament but also good signs from the new players to the game.
