1967 2nd Semi
Royal Park 10 . 5 . 65 def Dunolly 7 . 12 . 54
Clive Heenan wins League Goal Kicking with 50 goals. Park gained the ascendancy when they kicked 5 goals 4 to Dunolly's 4 points in the first quarter. Heavy rain fell mid way through the second quarter restricted the Park big men. The wet allowed Lanfranchi and Graeme Polinelli to become fine players. Wallace who had been the dominant ruckman on the ground for Park was less effective in the wet.
Bob Alliston (RP) was great in the air in the first half. Leading goal kicker C. Heenan had a great duel with former Magpie John Kennedy. Heenan did well to kick 3 goals. Glennister and Bowman did well on the flank. While John Dewhirst was possibly Royal Parks best. Doug Joseph and Martin stopped many a Dunolly attack. The centre line duels were critical and Raselli was overshadowed by McRae while Polinelli broke even with Joseph on the day. However Dunolly had no answer to Bowen or Goodchild.

1 Point Loss for Dunolly
Primrose 5 . 9 . 39 defeated Dunolly 5 . 8 . 38
1st Quarter Dunolly was faster to the ball and they took charge of the game and led
2nd Quarter Primrose's defence was on top and Dunolly could only add points
The turning point came in the 3rd quarter when Rich went on to Raselli who had been a star. Rich stayed at home and he gave Primrose great drive out of the middle. The other factor in Primroses improvement was the grand play of Quaife the 19th man. Primrose put on 3 goals 3 while Dunolly added 2 goals 1
4th Quarter Primrose started well with Foster and Wiles kicking goals and the roses looked likely to run away with the game. B. Polinelli was staring in defence while McLeish was tireless in the ruck. When Glennister goaled to make the difference 1 point, it appeared that Dunolly might win. In a hectic last few minutes both sides attacked but Primrose hung on.
