That's right folks, footy is BACK!! And back it is at Roger Sheeran this Sunday 7th March with Busta debuting in his first match coaching Mac Uni. Matty will be looking to sharpen his skills that he developed in 2009 whilst Tapdogs will be looking to get a quick win up on Six-Goals Cations.
Better still, all Warriors will get the chance to get right into the thick of it, with plenty of new faces and no positions secure, players will be looking to impress.
2pm - Busta's Saints vs Matty's Mercurials
* players be there before 1pm
The much anticipated debut of Mr Peter Hyndman will commence with Busta's Saints taking on Matty's Mercurials. See it at 2pm on the main oval. With each side having a bench of 10, the sides will play 5x 20 minute quarters with plenty of rotations.
4pm - Deano's Tappers vs Scotty's Sixers
* players be there before 3pm - preferably get there for 2pm to watch the pre-game
It is requested that all senior players try to get there to watch the 2pm game and all other players hang around to watch the senior game at 4pm. Then all head to The Ping for a quick feed and a couple of beers (as we all know it is a school night)
Players to watch in the 2pm game
* Keep your eyes out on Nevin Nippa Nath - after captaining the Div 4 side in 2009, he is looking to step up under the Busta tutelage regime and look to play Div 3, hey, even Captain it!!!
* Big Griz in the Ruck for Busta's Saints after having a year off walking around the world looking for a cause, he is back (unless he finds a nation to save somewhere) to get back that Reserve Grade Ruckman role.
* The 3 Chappo's - hey, you work it out, Matty sure can't!
* G Stud (Busta's Saints) vs Butch (Matty's Mercurials) at Full Forward - worth the price of admission. Can the soon-to-be-married old man of the Club, G Stud, secure the key position this year from old hand and 5,708 gamer Butch?
Players to watch in the 2pm game
* Sam "Funky" Millard, aka "Flying Elbows", getting back on the paddock the last couple of weeks - who will be in his sights???
* Newly Married Rooster, backing up from his wedding the day before. A monster negotiation victory with the wife. Question is - will the rule of "no pre-game nookie" cost him in his stakes to impress the Coaches???
* Big Claw back in the Senior side to dominate the Ruck and tap down to the buff Disco - will this partnership be a success?
* The left flank of the Sixers - with Old Man Time Stix, Wazza and Kinky on the same flank, they are very happy to have the silky skills of Hot Jacko to use up front. Watch this space. Potential problem with the young whipper-snapper wingmen from Deano's Tappers against these old legs.
