The North Melbourne Football Club will train at Avalon Airport Oval @ Chirnside Park
this coming Monday March 8th from 4pm.
Donald McDonald the North Melbourne Chief of Football is no stranger to the Oval
having coached the club’s only premiership side in 1993. “We’re very excited to be
coming back to Werribee on Monday. We did it last year and it was a great success for
our club, the Tigers and the local community.
Not only will it provide a chance for the locals to come and see the competition’s
superstars like Brent Harvey and Drew Petrie, but it will also give them a chance to see
the new kids which have been aligned to their club like Jamie MacMillan, Ayden
Kennedy and the AFL’s first African-born recruit Majak Daw.”
Daw is a local favourite having played his junior football with the Wyndhamvale Football
Club and completed his schooling at MacKillop College.
“Majak has shown great potential since coming to North Melbourne via the rookie draft
in late 2009. He is a great size, a tremendous athlete and an extremely impressive
young man. We look forward to further developing him through the VFL this year.”
