As soon as our boys arrived at the camp grounds on Friday night, they new that both the accommodation and activities would be a step up on previous years.
After settling in and a meeting on the Friday Night, Saturday morning saw an early waking for a good run and then breaky and some free time where the boys had a hit of table tennis, took to the tennis or basketball courts or just chilled.
Then it was time to check your heart at the door as the whole group took to the skies to take on a challenging aerial rope course involving climbing, stepping and abseling through the trees at about 20+ metres in the air. Bocky and Cubby took to it like monkeys whilst the tall boys found it a bit out of their comfort zone. Great time and good physical exertion for all!
Saturday afternoon saw the footys come out and Fletch had asked the 4 groups to come up with some drills and set plays, and then explain and take the on-ground drills. As soon as it was time to take to the track the heavens opened but it was still good to see some of the boys take on leadership roles and a valuable time on the oval (of sorts).
Saturday night was a time to come together and for the new boys to become a part of the club and both get to know their mates and for the whole group to learn more about them and their personalities.
Sunday is always about a bit of recovery and then head home for a bit more sleep.
Great to have so many boys a part of this great bonding weekend and it will help greatly as we head into the upcoming practice matches
