One of the Western Magpies most respected players will return to the club in 2010 following missing the QAFL return of the club in 2009 due to work commitments. Rozynski's last game for the Magpies was a best on ground performance winning the Ray Poulter Medal in the 2008 Pinapple Cup Premiership against PBC. Rozynski's midfield grunt and hardness was missed as the young Magpies battled through their inaugural QAFL season.
The Darling Downs Product was a long time representative of the Country Queensland Kookaburras in an outstanding junior career that included State Representation at U/16 and U/18 level before joining the Magpies. Rozynski is recognised along with a number of Magpies that could have left the club to fullfil QAFL ambitions but chose to remain loyal to the Magpies in the hope that they would one day achieve that ambition representing the club. For Rozynski it will be 12 months after everyone else but in true Rozynski style his impact will be noticed.
Western Magpies CDM Anthony McDonald said, "I coached James as a 13 year old in the 1999 U/14 Country Queensland Team and was involved in many Kookaburra Teams through his junior representative career and from that first carnival he always displayed the skills and hardness that has him so respected at this club. I was rapped he was at the club when I was appointed and was dissapointed when he was unable to play last year and cant wait to see him in action this year and the boost that will give the whole club."
Coach Paul Grentell said, "James has been a driving force for us through the middle in the past and his grunt, leadership and hardness was sorely missed last year and he will be a huge adition along with Mihalopoulos and Dowley to the maturity and hardness of our playing group."
