YARROWEYAH RUNS AWAY WITH
Yarroweyah made no mistake in winning the Picola League 1972 grand final on Saturday, when they ran away from Blighty to take the pennant by a margin of more than ten goals.
After a fairly even quarter when the N.S.W. team out-marked Yarroweyah players in some positions, the Yarroweyah side really began to play in the second quarter, and, winning practically in all positions around the ground, they piled on eight goals and kept the opposition down to one, to have a match-winning lead by half time. Although Blighty fought back in the second half, determined played by Yarroweyah prevented them from making much impression on the big gap between the scores.
