At 183 cms and 80kgs, Jack Hendrie is a good size but at (nearly) 17 and with a tall dad and even taller grandfather, he is going to be a big man in the not too distant future.
Having finished Year 12 still at only 16 years of age I reckon Jack has always had to keep up with the older kids, but in footy terms he is right up there and has mixed solid development here at Tigerland with extra work and recognition in the Suncoast Power program.
Jack has found being involved in the Suncoast system has helped his fitness and given him extra ball work which leads into the season proper really well.
Here at Noosa Jack started in the Auskick program and has played at every age level. 2006 was a highlight when he played in a flag at under 14 level, and winning the under 16 B&F a couple of years back was also a fine achievement.
While he has played most of his footy at half back and in the middle, it could be expected that if he continues to grow he will be looking at key positions and his flexibility and experiences across the ground will provide a great base.
Away from football Jack is like most young blokes who loves outdoor activities like a bit of body boarding, camping and 4 wheel driving but sadly now that 'Schoolies' is behind him its off to work each day.
Jack will be making plenty of changes in 2010 and so expects to play under 18's again after doing a senior pre season after Christmas and perhaps going to the camp to finish off a really big pre season.
All at the club wish him well and hope that he has a great 2010 and is a part of Tigerland for many years to come
