The OFCFNC committee has been working hard on many issues since the finish of the 2009 season.
One of these has been to re-design the clubs logo to reflect our club as not just a football club, but a football netball club. In keeping with the theme of the Olinda Cricket Club and HillTop logos, we are very pleased to show off our new logo.
The logo will be for the website, for club letterheads and for apparel only. It will not go onto the football and netball playing uniforms.
Some of the features of the logo include : the towers and mountain ranges that identify exactly where we are. This has been done in what we call "Ferny Creek Blue". The Ferny Creek Football Club wore the Red & Blue jumper prior to the merge with the Olinda Football Club back in 1946. In this logo, we are re-joining our heritage with the Ferny Creek origins of the club. We have retained our Red Vee for obvious reasons, this goes back to pre WW1 times with the Olinda Football Club. We have removed the football that used to sit inside it.
Logos are designed to be talking points and attractive. We feel that our new logo covers both these areas and look forward to seeing all our players, committee, officials & supporters, wearing the Red & White in 2010, proudly displaying the new OFC logo.
If you wish to pass on any comments about the new logo, please feel free to email the club at ofc@earthlink.com.au
