As umpiring looks for direction from the NCCUA in 2010, there are minimal changes to the NCCUA Committee personnel.
After the NCCUA AGM held last Wednesday (4 November 2009), roughly three quarters of the Committee were either re-elected or re-appointed for another term on the NCCUA Committee for 2010.
Maintaining the personnel of the NCCUA Committee will give direction and stability for umpiring in 2010. As the NCCUA Umpires planning day looms, stability on the NCCUA Committee was necessary to put in place decisions and outcomes from the planning day.
Only a few new faces were elected to the Committee, these include Ron and Shannon Oeser.
Due to family and other commitments, John Sullivan and Ashley Borg did not stand for re-election at the AGM. And Troy Edwards was unlucky and in a close contest was unable to retain his position on the Committee for the upcoming year.
The outcome of the AGM was as follows:
President – Darrel Luck
Vice President – Steve Welsh
Secretary – Richard Cornish
Assistant Secretary – Shannon Oeser
Treasurer – Neville Turner
Committee members – Elected: Phil Behrendt, Roger Crowhurst and Ron Oeser
Committee members – Appointed: Roger Stokes (AFLGSJ Central Coast) and Roy Reichert (AFLGSJ Newcastle)
Congratulations to all those members of the Committee who have taken up the challenge of leading umpiring in 2010.
Thank you to the outgoing Committee members for their hard work and commitment to umpiring and the NCCUA in 2009
