On Friday the 2nd of October, North Brunswick Football Club held the 2009 Best & Fairest night at Aurora Receptions in Brunswick. The night was a huge success with a good turnout and a great time had by all. Resident orator, Jeremy Freeman, hosted the evening and did it in his usual exemplary fashion.
First year player, 20 year old Adam Jeffrey, picked up the Senior Best and Fairest after an outstanding first year at the club. He edged out Robert Santacroce, who finished 2nd for the 3rd time in 5 years, and had another terrific year. In the reserves, Skipper Trevor Ackland won the Best and Fairest and Joe “Moose’ Boudoloh finished second in a year that saw these two lead a talented reserves team to the Preliminary final.
Another highlight of the night was Mick Sorleto and Sandy Famulari being rewarded for their outstanding service to the Football club – by being given Life Memberships. As well as Abraham Kyriazis and George Panagiotidis being awarded the Rob & Joyce Jewson award for their magnificent efforts with the Junior Club this year.
