With the excitement of the AFL Grand Final out of the way it was time to pull out the voting slips and count down to discover our 2009 B&F
After 5 Rounds it was Cubby Isles in the lead with Luke Tyrell in second with 27 and JR third with 25. After 10 Rounds JR had made his move and lead the count with 61 votes to Rizza's 49 and Nick Hammonds just off the pace in third with 45.
By the 15 Round mark, Rizza (72 votes) was pressing and only 9 votes in arrears of JR on 81, with Cubby on 62 and H on 59 not far behind.
In the end, it was JR's Medal and the vital Leaders Board looked like this
116…Jay Reynolds
88… Ryan Jeffery
79… Cubby Isles
69… Ryan Sawers
67… Brad Kearney
62… Nick Hammonds
49… Ben Evans
46 Adam Bovalino
45… Luke Tyrell
40… Jarryd Bates
39… Matt Hicks
Well done Jay on a great first up season at Noosa
In the Reserves it was Nathan Nackers McKenzie who had a ding dong battle with Andrew Roo Stewart that eventually took out the teams B&F
After 5 Rounds it was Nackers 33 votes, BE 30 and Roo 29 but at the half way mark it was Roo who had edged in front by a vote 62 to 61 with the 15 round mark still too tight to call as Nackers held an 80 to 76 point lead
Some great efforts down the home stretch by Nackers and Roo missing a couple saw Nathan McKenzie hailed as this years winner
The Final Leaders Board looked like this
107…Nathan McKenzie
80 …Andrew Stewart
79 …Brendan Clohesy
55 …Chayse Tilley
55 …Jack Troedel
49 …Nat Johnson
45 …Glen Braybon
41 Justin Claney
In the Thirds it was the closest count of the day with Cheyne Perry moving out to an early lead and then being slowly reeled in by Brad Herbete who polled in the Grand Final to make it an inseperable tie.
Congrats to Cheyne Perry & Brad Herbete Joint Winners of the Thirds B&F
Presentation Night is October 17 and spaces are limited so get on to a committee member to secure your seat
