Gary,
I don’t usually do this but I have to say how proud I, and the rest of the supporters, are of the teams win yesterday. Your speech at ¾ time was fantastic and to watch the look on the players faces as you invoked the Burra spirit was wonderful. There were quite a few supporters who would have pulled on the jumper after hearing those words. I was still tingling all the way home on the ride to Ballarat.
A person shouldn’t individualise when a team wins a close game but the effort of Corey McGrath in the last quarter was all class. Stephen Brewer was great from the first bounce and David Fanning and Adrian Bonnadio in the ruck provided a lot of ball for the players around them. I hope you weren’t too hard on David for the 2nd 50 metre penalty. That incident happened in front of us and the umpire did call play on first then changed his mind.
I hope the boys recover quickly and we can play our best team again this week. The twenty two will give their all and thats all we supporters can ask.
Regards,
Ron
The Club faces Northern Bullants in the Preliminary Final at TEAC Oval on Sunday at 2:00pm. The support was terrific last week and the team responded so get behind the team and give the Borough the best chance of making it to the Grand Final.
