The Calder Cannons Football Club are delighted to announce that both Jake Carlisle and Steve McCallum were selected as members of the 2009 TAC Cup Team of the Year. The side was announced at the annual Morrish Medal Vote Count night held at ETIHAD Stadium on Sunday night.
McCallum was named in the back pocket whilst Carlisle was named at fullback. Both players have had an outstanding year
with McCallum narrowly missing out of the TAC Cup Coaches Award by a mere 6 votes. Carlisle has also had a stellar
year in the TAC Cup representing Victoria Metro in the 2009 U18 National Championships and recently being invited to the AFL Draft Camp to be held in late September at the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.
Both Daniel Talia and Josh Toy were also presented with their All Australian jumpers on the night.
Northern Knights rover Anton Woods capped a stellar season with a runaway win in the Morris Medal, the premier individual award in the TAC Cup.
A big congratulations to all boys!!!
