Six Playstation® NPL Queensland clubs discovered their opponents in the upcoming 2015 BLK Silver Boot pre-season tournament on the weekend.

The allocations for the group stage of the tournament took place on Saturday at the tournament’s launch featuring representatives from the 16 competing clubs.

Brisbane City, Brisbane Strikers, Olympic FC, Redlands United, South West Queensland Thunder and Western Pride will feature in the tournament and are joined by a further ten Football Brisbane community clubs across the four groups.

All matches will be played at the home of tournament hosts Lions FC at their Richlands home ground, with the round-robin group stage followed by finals featuring the group stage winners.

The competition Grand Final is scheduled for Sunday, February 15, and will be preceded by a Third Place Play-off.

Two time PS4 NPL Queensland Grand Finalists Olympic FC and two-time Semi-Finalists Brisbane Strikers were both drawn in Group A alongside Logan Lightning and University of Queensland FC.

Olympic and Strikers, who both eliminated in last year’s Westfield FFA Cup Round of 16, will meet on Tuesday, 27 January.

Brisbane City are the sole PS4 NPL Queensland club in Group B and will be joined by Capalaba FC, Rochedale Rovers and Ipswich Knights.

Redlands United and Western Pride drew Mitchelton FC and Albany Creek Excelsior in Group C, with the two PS4 NPL Queensland sides meeting on Friday, 23 January.

South West Queensland Thunder will line-up in Group D against hosts Lions, as well as Eastern Suburbs and Wolves FC.

The tournament will serve as preparation for the PS4 NPL Queensland season commencing in late February. All matches will be played at Lions FC Stadium.
