Brisbane City has confirmed fourteen players that will turn out for the club in next years PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues campaign.

The bulk announcement features nine players returning from the 2016 squad, while five of the clubs Youth Mens players have been promoted to the senior set-up for next season.

Highly rated teenagers Scot Halliday and Nathan Yoon - who both tasted senior team football last season - will be joined in the first team by fellow Youth players Thomas Schultz, Robbie Baker and Jake Clancy.

City coach John Kosmina said promoting youth players will be a hallmark of his time in charge at the club.

The youth coaches do an excellent job here in developing exciting players. The proof of that is that some of them are now pushing to be in the Senior squad, Kosmina said.

Its exciting for the future of the football club to have these players developing through the system, he concluded.

Returning for the club, which narrowly missed out on returning to finals football last year for the first time since 2013, are mainstays Greg King, Nathan Bird, Kai Smith, Scot Coulson, Mitchell Hore, Jason Park and Motoki Kakehi.

Strikers Carter Glockner and Koh Satake have also committed to another year at Corporate Travel Management Stadium.

For Glockner it will mark his first full season in the national second tier following his move from Eastern Suburbs last year, while Satake is looking to bounce back from an injury wracked 2016 that limited his playing time.
