A hat-trick for Louise Rolfe has highlighted SWQ Thunder's stunning first win of the season in a comprehensive 9-2 victory over Sunshine Coast FC.

The Thunder were 4-0 up in the blink of an eye with a brace to Rolfe and goals to Sarah Sheridan and Lea Hippauf putting the hosts well in the ascendancy in the first 20 minutes.

Shandell Doro dragged one back for the Fire but the Thunder put the margin back to four goals on the stroke of half time as Rolfe finished off a first half hat-trick.

When she wasn't scoring, Rolfe was setting up her teammates with two assists and a shot rebounding off the post setting up three more goals for the Thunder, extending their advantage to 8-1.

Fire's Danielle White scored a late consolation goal before Rosanna Berry polished a fine afternoon with the Thunder's ninth shortly before full-time.

The Thunder now face an away trip to play Eastern Suburbs FC while the Fire will enjoy their first home match of the 2017 campaign against Gold Coast City.
