Redlands United will return to Cleveland Showgrounds after traveling to Cairns for a narrow round four defeat. Joining them for this round’s clash is the Brisbane Roar FC Youth, who were also able to get onto the pitch in round four. They were victorious against Sunshine Coast in a 2-0 score line. Moreton Bay United FC | vs | North Queensland United FC

Brisbane Strikers FC | vs | Gold Coast United FC

Brisbane Strikers weren’t so lucky last weekend, having their scheduled game against SWQ Thunder postponed. The Strikers will return to Perry Park to welcome Gold Coast United, who were also unable to brace the wet weather.

Cairns FC | vs | Brisbane City FC

Cairns FC grabbed their second win of the season in round four, with striker Josh Taylor delivering a double in the process. Brisbane City are their opponents, who will be traveling north for the fixture. Both Gold Coast United and Sunshine Coast FC have stolen points at Barlow Park in 2018, and Brisbane City will be hoping to follow suit.

Western Pride FC | vs | Sunshine Coast FC

Despite being unable to take the field last weekend, Western Pride are sitting inside the top four on goal difference. Looking to change that fact will be Sunshine Coast FC. A win for the Sunshine Coast will take them up to six points to join Western Pride. They will need to keep Pride’s in-form goal scorer Dylan Wenzel-Halls at bay, who has already bagged six goals in three games.

Magpies Crusaders FC | vs |Lions FC

Kyle Markham will be keen to continue his goal scoring form, when the Magpies of Mackay take on Lions FC. Lions themselves missed out on round four gameplay due to the weather, however will be keen to continue to ensure their round three loss doesn’t turn into a streak.

Both sides are still on the hunt for their first win, and will look to Friday night’s game to do just that.

Peninsula Power | vs | Southside Eagles

Peninsula Power are sitting two points clear on the FQPL ladder, and will be determined to not let any points slip this weekend, when they host Southside Eagles. Southside Eagles will be looking to make it two-from-four with a win at AJ Kelly Park.

Logan Lightning | vs | Holland Park Hawks

Logan Lightning’s most recent game was a round three loss to Rochedale Rovers, but will be looking to bounce back when they take on Holland Park Hawks at Cornubia Park. The undefeated Hawks are only two points behind league leaders Peninsular, with a win keeping them on track for first place.

Capalaba Bulldogs | vs | Wide Bay Buccaneers

The Wide Bay Buccaneers have only played two games going into round five, and are still looking for their first competition points of 2018. Determined to stop them doing are the Capalaba Bulldogs, who will host Saturday Night’s fixture. The Bulldogs are sitting inside the top 4 on goal difference, and will want to cement that spot for another week with a win.

Souths United | vs | Ipswich Knights

Ipswich Knights travel to Souths United in their round five action. For Ipswich, this week’s game will be all about keeping up with the other competition leaders. While for Souths, a home game will hopefully ensure they can grab their second win of 2018.

Sunshine Coast Wanderers | vs | Rochedale Rovers

Sunday FQPL action will see the Wanderers of the Sunshine Coast take on the Rovers of Rochedale. Undefeated so far this season, the Wanderers will look to continue with some points at home. The Rovers, who are sitting just outside the top four, will turn to Benjamin Nije once again to improve on this tally of five goals this season.

Eastern Suburbs FC will go two weeks in a row without a game, as they have the round five bye.
