South West Queensland Thunder have ensured last weekend's shock upset against City was no fluke, beating Sunshine Coast FC 6-1 at Sunshine Coast Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Thunder dominated from the outset, with Mustafa Jafari clocking one of the quickest goals of the season, scoring within the first minute.

Shoichi Koshimizu conversion from the penalty spot provided Fire with a hint of a comeback, but Thunder's continued pressure proved too much for Fire.

With their first back-to-back win of the season, Thunder look to continue their rise up the table when they host Redlands United FC next weekend. Fire travel down the highway to battle Gold Coast.

Key Moments

1' - GOAL FOR THUNDER - After a defensive fumble, the ball falls to Mustafa Jafari who lobs Downes from the edge of the area.

21' - GOAL FOR THUNDER - Kimba Kibombo gets on the end of a long ball across the field before shooting home low from 18-yards out.

23' - GOAL FOR FIRE - After being fouled by Nick Edwards inside the box, Shoichi Koshimizu confidently converts the resulting penalty.

42' - GOAL FOR THUNDER - Blair Ferguson pounces after a series of close shots from his teammates and nets a goal off the frame of the goal.

59' - GOAL FOR THUNDER - Jafari is left unmarked from a free kick and manages to slot the ball home from the edge of the area.

71' - GOAL FOR THUNDER - Anthony Grant gets onto the end of a through ball and coolly slots it home from 12-yards out.

73' - GOAL FOR THUNDER - Matthew Williams runs onto another through ball and ably converts.
