Sunshine Coast FC held reigning PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland champions Redlands United to a 1-1 draw at Sunshine Coast Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Roger Hardwicke took charge of Fire for the first time and saw his team take an early lead through Damien Kallis’ 8th minute strike, only for the Red Devils to hit back before the half-hour mark.

Redlands are defending their maiden PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland title and flexed their attacking muscles to equalise, as Alistair Davis pounced on a rebound following a fantastic 15-pass sequence.

Both teams traded half-chances in the second half but neither side could steal a win.

Redlands host Brisbane Olympic next week while Fire make the trip west to visit South West Queensland Thunder.
