It appears that no option is off the table for Brisbane Strikers FC as they eye potential avenues to join an expanded Hyundai A-League.

Outspoken Strikers bid figure Miron Bleiberg says the club could look to join forces with interested parties from Brisbane's western corridor and Ipswich in their push to return to the game's highest level.

 

Fuller Scooped Up By Mariners

Sunshine Coast FC product Kobe Fuller has taken the next step on his pathway by linking up with Hyundai A-League club Central Coast Mariners' youth team.

The 17-year-old attacker first came to the club's attention last year during a trial but opted to spend another year with in PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland before linking up with the Gosford-based outfit in earnest.

 

Thunder Add Three More To Ranks

SWQ Thunder FC have issued a statement of intent to their rivals for 2017 by signing former Serie A starlet Alex Gonano.

The 23-year-old midfielder had spells at Empoli FC and AC Perugia in a five-year stint in Italy and is expected to play a significant role for the Toowoomba-based club next season.

Also confirmed for next year are new recruits Yoshiro Sakurai and Matt Williams, who both have PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland experience.

 

Strikers Gearing Up For 2017

Brisbane Strikers FC officially commence pre-season this week but plenty of their players have been getting an early start with a "pre-pre-season" with the club's High Performance Unit.

The majority of the squad for the club's impending Premiership defence remains firmly under wraps, but the photo of some of the HPU participants (above) suggests Zayd Dennis, Luke Marsh and Jake McLean could all be in the frame for new coach Sean Lane.

 

Kitching Sets Agenda For Pride Women

Western Pride FC Women coach Belinda Kitching is on a mission to work closely with the club's junior girls to prepare them for the step-up to senior football.

The former Westfield Matildas goalkeeper, who originally hails from Ipswich, says her side's pre-season preparations will commence after trials are concluded.

 

City Hand Out The Awards

Brisbane City FC have acknowledged the contributions of their stand-out players from 2016 at the club's recent awards night.

The major awards were received by Kai Smith for Coach's Player of the Year, Nathan Bird for Players' Player of the Year and Samuel Sibatuara for Golden Boot.

 

More Signings For Pride

Geoff Macintyre headlines a long list of players who have recommited to Western Pride FC for the 2017 season.

The 26-year-old is aiming to be a mentoring influence on the club's young squad which will also see Jordan Lambi, Bonventure Thomas-Remijo, Jacob Minett, Will McFarlane and Gabriel Hawash back in green-and-white next season.

Pride will meet Gold Coast City FC in a pre-season hit-out this weekend.

 

 

Lee Swaps Champions For Premiers

Brisbane Strikers FC have unveiled their first signing for their impending Premiership title defence - snaring 2016 Grand Final hero Michael Lee from Redlands United FC.

Strikers coach Sean Lane has identified the goalscoring midfielder as a great addition to the squad, while Lee has described his new club as the "best footballing team in Queensland".

 

PS4NPLQD Extend Condolences To Brazilian Club

PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland clubs were amongst those that joined the outpouring of shock and grief at the tragedy that befell Brazilian club Chapecoense in Colombia earlier this week.

FNQ FC Heat, Western Pride FC, Brisbane City FC, Brisbane Roar FC joined Football Queensland in extending their condolences on social media.

 

Young Roar Ready For Home Clash

Brisbane Roar FC Youth coach James Robinson says his side is looking forward to playing in front of their home fans for the first time in three weeks.

The team take on Melbourne City FC Youth in the Foxtel National Youth League on Saturday at A.J.Kelly Park - home of PlayStation 4 NPL Women's club Pensinsula Power FC.
