Brisbane Strikers will face Canberra Olympic in the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series after the Capital Football club sealed their Premiership on Saturday.

Olympic fought from a goal down against FFA Centre of Excellence in their final match of the regular season to win 3-1, edging out Cooma FC for their first title in the national second tier.

The win marked a stunning close to the PlayStation 4 NPL Capital season for Olympic, who won their last seven matches to snare the title.

Strikers will now host Olympic in an Elimination Final on either September 17 or September 18, with final details of the fixture to be confirmed by Football Federation Australia.

The match will mark the third time Olympic have lined up against Queensland opposition in a competitive match this year.

Olympic eliminated Gold Coast based community club Surfers Paradise Apollo in the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 32 in Canberra.

They will host PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland side Redlands United in the Westfield FFA Cup Round of 16 this Wednesday night.

Olympic was formed in 1956 and their first foray onto the national stage coincides with the club’s 60th anniversary.

Their highest profile player is Colombian goalscorer Philippe Bernabo-Madrid (pictured), who has posted 15 goals during the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues campaign and originally hails from Colombia and scored the winning goal against Apollo earlier this month.
