Rejuvenated Gold Coast City striker Jarrod Kyle is aiming for more goals as he seeks to build on his best start to a PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues season yet.

The 2016 season has been shaping up well for Kyle, who has bagged six goals over the opening nine rounds to help City climb to fourth in the league standings.

The returns are much welcomed for the 22-year-old, whose 2015 season was derailed by two shoulder dislocations and an ankle injury.

However, Kyle hasn’t let his injury woes his love of the game and has started every match of the current campaign for City.

“It’s been more than frustrating over the past couple of years especially with the shoulder, but as time passes you realize that it happens to many athletes and it is all a part of sport,” Kyle explained.

Kyle honed his game at Sheffield Wednesday’s Academy set-up in the United Kingdom before returning to Australia for a brief stint with Sydney FC under then coach Frank Farina.

A move to PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues followed and he impressed in his first two season of – scoring 19 goals in 38 games for both Brisbane City and Palm Beach SC – but says he feels he has now found the right balance this year off the field as well.

Working full time and putting effort into other things allows me to have a much better balance between football and everyday life,” Kyle said.

“Honestly, after all the injury dramas, I'm just enjoying playing with a great group of lads week in week out.”

Kyle and his Gold Coast City teammates will return to action next weekend against Brisbane Roar Youth as they look to extend and eight game unbeaten run in the league.
