City Recruitment Drive Continues

Brisbane City FC

Words: Michael Flynn

Brisbane City continue to strengthen for the season ahead with winger Samuel Sibatuara and defender Motoki Kakehi the latest additions to John Kosmina's squad.

Sibatuara, 19, is the second former Brisbane Roar Youth player to switch to City for the 2016 campaign – joining former teammate Luke Pavlou.

Despite his youth, Sibatuara boasts three years of PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland senior experience – making a total of 54 competition appearances and scoring 11 goals in his time with Young Roar and Queensland Academy of Sport.

The adaptable Kakehi, 23, is proven in both central defence and at left fullback and joins from Brisbane Premier League outfit Ipswich Knights where he scored once in 14 league appearances in 2015.

The duo takes the number of announced signings at City to 14 for next season with the number of new recruits now totaling eight players at the club.
