Pride Centre of Excellence On Hold

Western Pride has announced a proposed Centre of Excellence with community club Brisbane Force FC will not proceed as previously announced.
A statement from Pride cited insurmountable differences in club culture and football priorities at the two clubs as the catalyst for the decision.
Pride had announced the Centre of Excellence in early August as result of feedback gathered from a high performance survey conducted in May.
The statement from Pride reiterated that the club will seek other partners to deliver the Centre of Excellence for the Ipswich region's aspiring elite footballers.
"Western Pride reaffirms its commitment to establishing a Centre of Excellence in its allocated catchment area as a key component of the club’s vision and responsibilities as a PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues licensed club," the statement said.
"The club is currently in discussions with other entities to enable the continued development of elite football in the region in accordance with the FFA Curriculum and National Plan."
"Western Pride remains extremely excited ahead of the club’s fourth season of PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues football in Queensland."
"The club strongly encourages talented footballers with aspirations to play at an elite level to attend upcoming trials," it concluded.
