PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland 2015 Premiers and Champions Moreton Bay United have announced Adam Piddick as its new Technical Director.

The announcement adds to an astonishing 2015 for Piddick, who guided the Jets to their first senior silverware in his first season as Senior Men's head coach.

It also comes just days before the club makes its debut on the national stage under Piddick's tutelage in the PlayStation 4 National Premier Leagues Finals Series against Edgeworth Eagles.

Piddick, who is currently completing his AFC 'A' Licence, takes up his new role immediately, and will continue to be closely involved with the Senior Men’s team while overseeing all other age groups at the Jets.

He replaces Salvatore Sottile, who was the club’s foundation Technical Director and who previously fulfilled the same role at Albany Creek Excelsior.

Piddick explained that the opportunity to oversee the selection, development and running of Jets' teams was an exciting challenge.

“These opportunities do not come along very often and I was delighted to be offered and accept this role,” he said.

“Strong foundations have been laid down by Moreton Bay United in its first three seasons and I look forward to building on the work of many people, including Salvo.

“It will be a challenge trying to take this club to the next level in all age groups, but I cannot wait to get started.”

Piddick previously coached Brisbane Strikers' Youth Men's team last season and Strikers’ Under 18 team in 2013.

Prior to that he was junior director of coaching at Loganholme and played in the former Queensland State League with Redlands United.

Jets Chairman of the Board Frank Heim said the decision was not taken lightly but concluded it was in the best interest of the club.

“Following our annual review and evaluating all applicants, we believe Adam is best man to take Moreton Bay United forward,” said Chairman of the Board Frank Heim.

“We have been extremely impressed by his work on and off the pitch and his achievements in his first season coaching at senior level have been outstanding.

Heim also praised Sottile for his contributions to the club.

“We thank Salvo for his work in establishing Moreton Bay United in the PlayStation 4 NPL Queensland and before that as Technical Director of Albany Creek Excelsior.

“Salvo will always be part of the Moreton Bay United family and always welcome at Wolter Park and Brendale. We wish him every success in the future,” Heim concluded.
